The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly fundraising walk in support of local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness... because it’s cold out there.
Since 1906, The Ottawa Mission has been serving those who are homeless, hungry, and vulnerable by providing food, clothing, shelter, and skills.
The Ottawa Mission has 17 programs to meet the needs of our most vulnerable community members, including: emergency food and shelter; health services; mental health; addiction treatment programs; hospice care; dental services; housing services; educational support; job training; spiritual care; and clothing to thousands in need in our community.
The pandemic has been difficult for many people who were before just making ends meet. Given the collective impact of Covid-19 on people’s mental health, finances and perceived risk of homelessness, The Ottawa Mission remains the first place of refuge for increasing numbers of vulnerable people, and expects to for the next several years.
Join CTV Ottawa’s Jackie Perez on Saturday, February 28th at Roger’s Centre as she kicks off the #CNOY as our community comes together to walk and fundraise in the Coldest Night of the Year. Together, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of those most vulnerable right here in Ottawa.
