I started working at Pure Country (KHJ) in August of 1993. Married to Rosie for almost 30 years, proud Dad to Emma and James. I was honoured to be inducted into the New Brunswick Country Music Hall of Fame back in 2014. I am a huge classic country music fan, so needless to say one of the highlights of my career was interviewing and meeting George Jones. I’ve met other musical hero’s of mine…..Merle Haggard, Mel Tillis, Ray Price, Tommy Hunter, Bill Anderson, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Mickey Gilley, Garth Brooks, Shania Twain, Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt, Teri Clark and so many others. It’s always a lot of fun going backstage and meeting these people, but honestly, it’s the local singer/songwriters who I’ve become friends with over the years that are most important to me. It’s been a pretty fun career for the past 30+ years. I have been hosting a stage at the Cavendish Beach Music Festival for the past 6 years. When I’m not on the air, I’m busy with family. I own a local Tattoo Shop and also own the Fredericton Tattoo Expo and co-owner of the Halifax Body Arts Convention. One other thing that I’m extremely proud of, is my sobriety. God willing I will have 10 years sober Oct.2/26
